    NorCal INT League Wakesurfing Series

Hey folks I wanted to let all of the Northern California Tige owners know that we finally got a contest organized here locally, relatively speaking. The series will be held up at Villa Lagos. It will be the first and ONLY wakesurfing series in the country. We have 4 stops, basically each month starting this weekend on May 20th. The contest dates can be found at the http://www.intleague.com/ncalifornia/.

We have some great prizes, including boards from Inland Surfer, Xtreme Board Company, Calibrated wakesurfing, Shred Stixx, the Walker Project and a gift certificate from Trick Boardz for the board of your choice. We are trying to encourage as much participation as possible, so the boards (and other swag) are being awarded at random to the participants at each stop. You don't have to win or place to score a $500 board!

Each participant will get a commemorative T-shirt at each stop and the winners will receive trophies or medals for finishing first, second or third. The points leaders at the end of the series will be declared the series winners.

Some of the other swag includes free subscriptions to Wakesurfing Magazine and clothing from Entrust Clothing. I hope to see ALL YOU NorCal Tige owners there!

Another board sponsor! Alan from Awakesurf is kicking in a board or two also.

Alan's Stealth skim style boards rock and were a big hit with the lucky receipients at the Jamboree in FL.

The third stop in the NorCal INT League Wakesurfing series is this Saturday. It's sure to be a good one, as it will be pulled by my Tige 23V. The first two stops were pulled by a Natique ('05 and then an '06) so this current stop should prove to have a substantially better wake.

I have to run, but wanted to post one picture from the final stop of the series. This is the wake created by my '03 Tige 23V. Now remember this is in an average depth of 8 feet of water!!!!! (which means sometimes 7 and sometimes 9 ) The boat was within USCG weight recommendations AND running at around 9.8 mph so that we could allow the kids to surf. Not bad, huh?

Hi Surfdad! Nice to see you guys get such a clean face out of 8' of water. I've been lurking around the WW site a bit and following your posts. You've been a busy guy. Thanks for the pic.

                Hey Nick,

We have been all over the place, feels good to be "home" for a bit. I had to post one more picture of our wake. This is Judy, my wife, and you can see the wake really was more than just "OK" when you consider the depth.

                    Hey Dogbert,

Thanks for the props. That board that Judy is riding is a custom shape by Mike Walker of The Walker Project. He shaped it for a trade show in Japan and I bought it for Judy. It's basically his team model with a square tail. The Silver on the top is sick. It's got a terillium (sp?) layer under the gloss coat, overlaying the glass...with a white painted pinstripe and light blue paint fading to green everywhere else.

I was gonna say, that's a pretty sweet lookin' little hot rod she's got there. What is this terillium you speek of?

About that wake, a lot of people (Bu'ers) would kill to have a wake like that at any depth.

The terillium is some sort of fabric, like carbon fiber, but silver instead of black. Think kevlar, only the board only has a patch of it, so it isn't strong or anything.

Throw a contest and we'll be there
