Hey Tall, so yours is wood also. I want to make sure I understand, you have a gap between the side of your bag and the "engine separator" (for want of a better term)?

As for the side wall of the hull, we had an unfortunate event with our boat. Pulling it through an intersection an errant driver ran a red light and t-boned our boat and trailer. The boat came off the trailer, breaking the rear tie down straps, bending all of the underwater running gear and completely destroying the trailer. The hull suffered only minor scratches. It went 2 feet in the air and landed back down on the trailer. If it can withstand 4300 pounds landing from 2 feet in the air on metal, I don't worry about the stress of 1300 pounds on the wall either!

I went and looked at the back wall again and took a picture. I haven't had time to resize and post the picture.

I am mistaken! The back wall is NOT wood! It is a plastic of some sort. There are 2 pieces that the velcro is attached to that hold the battery compartment door that are made of wood. I assumed that the whole back wall was made of that.

So on my 2005 24V, the back wall is made of plastic, with just the wimpy supports for the velcro on the battery door that are made of wood.

When the bag is full, it does touch the engine separator, but doesn't put a whole lot of pressure on it.

I have a gap between my engine separator and my back wall, because the back wall has been pushed back further when the bag slid back into it.
      Be excellent to one another.
