ConvexVX retrofit getting installed on 2013 RZR, Stoked!!!

We basically have 4 lakes to boat on in the Black Hills Area. Orman Damn on the Belle Fourche river North of Spearfish is the biggest but also the most wind blown and shallowest lake. Great fishing not great watersports.

Angostura is the next largest and it is just south of Hot Springs about 50miles south of Rapid City. Can always find a good spot to surf there. Good beaches and at the north marina boat docks has volley ball courts, and is kinda the place to hang and be seen if you know what I mean.

Pactola is next. And to me this is our favorite as it is 20miles from our house, west of Rapid City. It has the cleanest clear water. Can get kinda boaty though depending on time of day so we do early morning sessions or late afternoon evening sessions there. Probably the most scenic as well.

Sheridan is a good alternative to Pactola, about 10 minutes south of Pactola. It is the smallest of the lakes. Has a small beach.

Contact Tige direct...retrofits are not available at tis time for older models.....if you have the really nice swim deck bracers...your fine..

I am not able to quote directly what the cost was as this is worked with your dealer and Tige. Please reach out to them for cost like SQUID says. If you look at the pictures and your braces on the transom wall are like mine you should be good to go for the retrofit.

Drove by Paktola this weekend, wow, what a beautiful lake! We wound up not taking our boat and just doing all of the sites in the Spearfish/Rapid City area. Beautiful area you've got there! Even saw a Tige R20 headed into Paktola.

Yo zroutt how is that working out for you? We just spent a week of surfing behind our r20 with the VX and got a pretty great wave. Have not dialed it on completely as we couldn't seem to get it super crisp, but it's 90% there! Just really curious to hear the difference! I'll post some picks later tonight hopefully.

Thank you Timmy we love it here. That water is so clean at Pactola. Water temps on Saturday were 74 degrees. Brutal you couldn't get on the water. What color was the R20? Black with Blue trim details? We stopped and talked to them for a bit. Try and get them to demo some surfboards. They just bought the boat a week ago Friday.

We love our VX. We are working on photos and videos to post up to the interwebs. But have no regrets about the add on. Wave is cleaner, much larger landing area for airs. We have full range of taps now.

So my question is does this clean up the white wash on the top of the boarding wake too or does this come of for wake boarding? Why are other manufactures not having to do this to get a surf wake out of the boat. Why is it that TIGE has seemed to always struggle getting an amazing surf wake compared to other manufactures. I personally don't think I would like to tow a boat down the road that has a contraption on the back of it that looks like a fish mouth. I am just a little perplexed is all that this extreme of a peace had to be added to a boat that cost 90K plus to get a decent surf wake. If the boats were still around a reasonable price point of 50-60k I could understand. Any thoughts.

Spoke with the dealer today. He said it was a lot more difficult that anticipated on the install. All the brackets come pre drilled but the new platforms do not. So measuring, drilling, tapping and mounting up all the hardware was a bit more difficult than anticipated. But with that said they did get it done and they are probably just as stoked as we are.

Yeahp know them too. We had a Tige day two weeks ago tomorrow, and met a few new R20 owners. Small community here with only one inboard dealer and its Tige

Im not sure what your talking about I don't need to damn fish mouth on the back of my boat for probably the largest surf wave i have seen behind any boat to this day... Please explain? I modified my swim deck changed bags and weight it correctly and bam biggest wave I've seen
