If I get the go ahead for a purchase, meaning serious, I will have to book some time with you. I might find out that what I have is very similar and it is me that needs to improve.

For this type of custom are they more than just ordering (same company yet one is a sale and done the other open to possible modifications)?

Here is a perfect example of what I was trying to explain. Chase had a board that he competed on and so to think that LF force would be able to take that then add in what would be considered to improve it. Doesn't look like it was quite that easy. As you have mentioned and as you can see from this even fins have a major role in a board.

Chase said he liked that setup, but not sure how much that affected the drive, had to reduce it a good deal, I would think.

I don't think you are going to get your dream board on your first try. You and your shaper will do your best to get it right but, you are going to learn from the board and the experience no matter how good it turns out. Surfdad has made many, many boards in order to come up with one that he realy likes. I'd be willing to bet there are a few minor tweeks he will one day incorporate into a new board. Humans will always be humans in the fact that they think they can always do better. They are usually correct.

Jeff- Coming from a heavy slalom ski background, when I got into wakeboarding, I was really looking for a particular "feel" in a wakeboard. I road a lot of boards that first season of wakeboarding. I think I demo'd a new board every weekend. I road some ok stuff and some stuff I really didn't like but, the day I demo'd the LF Superfly 44 I might not ever forget. It literally took me less than 5 seconds to know it was exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I was up I had that "feel" and everything just clicked. I still have that board and the two boards I bought after that board are Redmond designs as well. There's just something about them. My Walzer has a very similar "feel".

          NICKYPOO,

So on the money when finding that old feel...Like an old pare of vans or an old hat you lost at the lake.

Coming from the coastal surf of half moon bay I had a hard time finding that "SURFY" feel... once I found it Im assured there is a CNC machine CD with my name on it allowing me to sleep at night.

          SKIP,

The options are so close to endless its mind blowing. No matter how you get it done, put your feet on boards.
