They have trained drivers and safety personnel.

As an incentive, if you can get a wakesurfing contest organized this summer I will personally present you with your own custom (you tell me what graphics you want airbrushed) Walker Project F-18.
    Oh it's on now!

Intrest in slalom and wakeskating fading? Both are on the war path 'round here.

Hey Nick, it's funny in certain parts of the midwest and south, interest in slalom is fading. In New Mexico last year a local club gave up on the wakeskating divisions due to imjuries...certainly isn't consistent across the state. However, where we have found this "void" the wakesurfing seems to fill in nicely.

What's funny to me is the INT kneeboard division. I guess people still do that? I see little kids once in a while doing it but the INT still lists several divisions for compitition from novice to outlaw. That last one makes me giggle. I get a vision of a dude with a mustache and a mullet in some cut off Levi's sayin' "Yeah, I took the Outlaw kneeboard title last year."

          Hey tweirich

"Also, if there are any events around the Austin area, let me know!"

I just got off the phone with Larry Mann of Trick Boardz and Fresh Air Exhaust. He has indicated that he wants to sponsor an event down there in Texas, but is a bit busy with the start of the new season. Any chance I can get you interested in assiting Larry?

            Missouri Arkansas Tennesse area?

Right now the closest we will get is AL, possibly KY, but it doesn't look like we'll get it organized this year. I'm going to be in AL at Nelems Marine for a clinic and to present to the local INT league organizers. Then we are heading up to KY for the same "deal", both are in July.

I have a 4'6" Liquid Force Skimskate that's been used less than 10 times. $150 and it's yours.

is this a good beginning board? I know nothing about it. MY friend who always comes with me did it, said it was fun, and on all this wind we have had lately, it's about the only thing to do. Thanks

It depends. You might want to check out the Liquid Force website about rider weight. I'm a pretty big guy and I have trouble getting into the sweet spot with the 5' version of this board (which we also have and uses more). My son rides a TrickBoardz, which is much faster and takes a bit of getting used to.

We've also tried the Hyperlite Broadcast and it's pretty easy.

I'd try a couple of boards with friends to see what works best for you.
