Squids Wake Wakesurf Board Demo program and the Tige R20 surf wave

If you live in Colorado, or maybe just here for a visit, I encourage you to contact Squids Wake and demo some of the boards he has while you take in a session from his dialed in Tige R20. I had the opportunity to go out with Allan Kendall (owner of Squids Wake) last night on his Tige R20 and try out a few boards.
    I tried out:
    - Inland Surfer Flyboy
    - Triple XXX Slayer Pro X
    - Soulcraft Jetty 5.0 I think
I also brought my Walker Project Bomb Pop 4'9" as well. I am not sure what all boards he has but these are the ones that I was most interested in. I was VERY impressed with the surf wave that the 20' Tige is putting out. It has a decent pocket and lots of push. I will try and find some pictures/video to post later on.
Check him out if you haven't already:

I hope we get some more people doing what Squids is in other locations, it was awesome to just go out and give a board a few try's and then decide if it meets your fancy or not. He is working on building the quiver and I wakemitch called him while I was there and I think I heard him say that he will be getting a Victoria skimboard to add to it shortly.

Thanks again to Allan (Squid) and his wife and little shredder, Ben, for taking me out and having some serious after work fun!

I think I am going to pick up a Triple XXX as my boat board now. I really enjoyed the stability and speed of that board and think it would be a great board for beginners...other than the fact that it's a real board and maybe not as durable as a CWB/Hyperlite/Ronix.

I really liked the Flyboy but unfortunately at 190lbs, I had to work too hard to stay in my comfort zone. If only they had a 4'9" to 4'10" model. It really is a thing of beauty, the carbon rails and nice paint job. It slayshes and turns so quickly.

Next board that I liked is the Soulcraft Jetty. I think ecutter on here is crazy for not keeping this board. If I hadn't bought the Walker Project Bomb Pop that I just got, I would have given Squid the money for that board right then. It's perfect for someone my size. Main difference between the Bomb Pop and the Jetty was that the Jetty likes to pearl a little more than the Bomb Pop but my riding could be adjusted to fix that.

        Timmy!
That was a great session, Ben loves your style.
The Quiver is growing as fast as my account and wife will allow.
Skim style boards and a 44 Grom will be added to the quiver along
with a Soulcraft Jetty 4.6 swallow tail.

Big thanks goes out to all the help and support from suppliers, builders, shops and new friends.

SquidsWake, don't pick a board, allow a board to pick you!

Timmy, At 225lbs the 4'10 was just a little to small for me. I have a 5'0 Jetty coming soon. (I hope) I would love to try out the Bomb pop!! Want to come out to Stanley with us next week.. Hint Hint! lol You can check out the surf wave on the new Z3.. Let me know..
On a side note.. Had fun out surfing with Squid.. Allan has his boat dialed in.. The Flyboy was fun. I hope they decide to build that model for us bigger guys.. I would buy one.

Oh, that makes sense. A 5'0 will be awesome. Loved the 4'10, just pearled a little easier than my board. Let me see what I have going on this week...would love to get behind that Z3!

I need to get in on this action. We desperately need a good surfboard as we have a Ronix Cortez and it isn't that good. We were never much into surfing with the Axis because the wave was lacking. The RZ2 has such an incredible wave we are all wanting to surf more.
