The bookmatching is pretty remarkable, the pattern was virtually exact on both halves top and bottom.

A few pictures of James riding it and a short unedited clip.

Holy $#!?!!! Now that is a piece of art. Sic on every level.

Ok, the top. The blonde is bamboo? The red looks to be in the mahogany family. I'm gonna go with, sepile?

The bottom; bamboo, sepile and the brunette in named, walnut?

The red's grain is beautifully reflective. It moves in the light and dances around and looks a mile deep. It's like 3D grain.

The overall layout is really cool. The layout on the bamboo is particularly well done though. The "grain flames" are very well done. That's a really well executed exploit of a veneer product. It's cool to see that kind of attention to detail. This is definitely the coolest lookin one yet.

              Thanks for posting!

Thanks guys. You know wood Nick! The blonde is actually Paulowina, not sure of the correct spelling, but I'm sure it will click with you. The dark is a tricky one though. It's an ammoniaized oak. Isn't that cool? The guy was explaining that they stick it in in this container with the ammonia to get that look.

I was also impressed with that grain of the red'ish veneer, it seemed to be moving or something.

                Thanks for the kudos!
