Good eye Nick. Yeppers. I always have to chuckle when folks talk crap on that board, because HL has probably sold MORE of that particular board than all other boards combined. Stable, forgiving in the sense that it's unresponsive and lethargic which is what most folks term forgiving, heavy duty and anyone can ride it. It was a hoot!

Ya, I still carry the original on my boat when we have certain people out. It's got a different name and a little different shape but, its the original 5'6" offering from Hyperlite, at time sold as the Landlock. Truth be told, I like it a lot better than the new one. It was the board that got me sold on hard rails. It has them tip to tail (unlike the now Broadcast). It is also a true twin although the fins have zero toe and zero cant. I put on a set a Hyperlite 1.1 A-Wing wakeboard fins on it and it made a dramatic improvement in loosening the thing up. I feel it also made it faster, probably just by eliminating a bunch of drag from those big ol fins. It was my mainline board for several years. I rode every single other pop out produced and none of them ever came close to the performance of that dinosaur. Well, maybe the Butter Board but, that was a surfstyle and not really a pop out (I should have bought one just history's sake). The tip has been split for 6 or so years on it now but, it still finds life in the newbies. Hell, I've gotten two people up on it for their first time this year alone.
Easy to ride, tough as nails and dirt cheap. That's all you can ask from a pop out. You see them on just about every other wakeboat on every lake. Hell, my uncle keeps one on his boat and they don't really even surf. It's little pop out that could. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Finally getting some air this year. Had lots of time behind the boat this week. Getting some stuff knocked out. Still struggling with 360's. Batting about 10% with them this year, either end up on top of the wake or fall through it. When I do actually do one they seem so easy but can never do them back to back.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

Thank Iwndr. I think we can get a triple in there. Its funny this year is the first year we are competing for water for surfing. Lots of Bu's out there and they can barely fit one with the nose of there board on the swim platform and they ask us how we can do two? When my wife gets back from NZ we are going to try a triple just to say we could. Got the wake dialed this year and I can make the wake so long or so tall.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3
