@ Timmy! Why did your lake push the start date back? Is it a conservation measure of some kind?
I think it's the water management company trying to impose penalties for some rules violations that took place last year. All kinds of drama at our annual meeting yesterday. It's funny how they operate, they let it drain down as far as possible (4' deep maybe?) until we have to be off of the lake, Oct 31, and then they start filling it again on Nov 1. It should be full right now (30').
I hope I didn't mislead you, the last two pictures are of my son James. So no "I" didn't land that James did however I'm not so sure that I have much ability in this cold water, I was just thankful I didn't freeze up!
Guess I should look closer at the pics. It was early in the AM and I had not had my required cups of coffee yet. But glad you can get out there.
Ok, I'm gonna do dome guessing on the boards. First board seen is you on that latest bamboo/walnut ride you built? Second is you on your "daily driver"? Not exactly sure what it is but, you ride it a lot. The next couple are James on a straight up JW pro model production board? Just checking how they are doing? Next would be James on the bamboo/walnut which I am now going to name CDB, Chocolate Dipped Banana. That's what it looks like to me at least. Last but not least, James has a new Stretch? There's no Stretch logo on it though. Is this his new comp ride? From the pics, it also appears something else is missing. Some rocker?
You're good! I like my daily driver, yeah that was one of the original flyboy prototypes. The core is 1" insulation foam. Have you seen it at Lowes or Home Depot? That's what the core is made of, Insulfoam with high density skins. I think it nets 1.25" thick.
CDB - that's funny. You have to wait for the veneer board, you will love it. It's of the caliber you'd appreciate with the veneer and pin lines.
The CDB was a test to make sure the concept would work. That board didn't ride all that well, but it proved the concept fine to me.
Yep, production board.
On the bamboo with carbon, we have a few models floating around. That is one of them. No change in the rocker though, might just be the camera angle?
