My version of the wave shaper...what were calling the wave scraper. It's close to what Duffy made 'cept we used heavier metal on the leading edge (as Duff' suggested)
I bought some 3 ply half inch conveyor belt rubber from a commercial place in reno. Very STIFF. Teh stuff is not cheap either. A 4x1 piece cost darn near 50 bux. It's exactly what I wanted so I didn't complain...too much
Used all stainless hardware
trimmed the rubber to follow the hull. I covers the entire FAE exaust.
I used some serious 2"x1/2" alu alloy for the leading edge and rear mount/support. I think it's 7075 t6..we pulled it off the metal pile at the local marina for a 12 pack...let me tell ya mother of god it's HARD. I'ts tough just like the swim deck frame and we broke 2 drill bits in the build (even though we used 2 pilot holes per hole..sh*t is buff). It's surprisingly heavy too.
The jury is out on performance. We ran once with it but it got rough and we never really got an idea if it works to smooth out the wave..and FAE fluff
