Ronix Koal and Liquid Force Nose Rider

Does anyone have an opinion on the Ronix Koal and/or a Liquid Force Nose Rider? One of our local board shops is having a pretty nice sale on both, however they don't have any demos to try out.

I weight 200 lbs and am new to wakesurfing. We have a Hyperlight Broadcast and would like a quicker board as we improve our skills.

    Thoughts?

Is that an endorsement for the Ronix Koal?

Don't know anything about the Liquid Force, but the Koal is a nice board, but we sent 2 of them back because they arrived damaged. They are very fragile and need to be handled with care. The back corners just busted up cause it wasn't packaged good on both of them!! We ended up getting a CWB ride (cause we're beginners too and it has been a great board to learn on) and now also have a Ronix Cortez that is faster than the CWB ride.

koal supposed to be nice...I watched the demo on youtube but the price was too much

If you want a Liquid Force Noserider I'm selling a near new one. I like the board but we pretty much spend most days on our ocean boards for some reason.. The noserider is really a pretty quick board...It's actually quite thin and I guess called a noserider because of its wide nose. That wide nose makes the board good for heavier folks

            Moose,

I think I'm going to buy the Ronix Koal tomorrow morning. The local shop is selling their last board for a nice price.

I too watched the youtube demo. It looks like a nice board. However, since I'm new to the sport, I'm seeking advice from fellow tigeowners forum members.

            Details to follow. Thanks.

Please let me know how the Ronix Koal rides for you. I too have the Broadcast and love the board so far, but always ready to upgrade!

I agree. For lite' weights only. If they'd make it an inch (or even 1/2") thicker it might have been a real charger. I got a local kid interested but I'm also tossin it on the local Craigs'

I bought the 5.0 Ronix Koal last night from the Warming Hut in Richardson, TX. They sold the board for $369, which was a significant discount from the suggested retail of $459. Here's a pic:

                      They still have a 4.6 Yellow Koal ($389) a 5.0 Black Koal ($369) and a 5.6 Red Koal for ($389). Thier phone number and address is (972) 234-6088 - 331 N Central Expy, Richardson, TX 75080.

Wow, that's a great deal. I love the blue, did they have anymore of those left? Are they all the same 2011 boards just different colors and lengths?

First, let me say that I'm not an expert on wakesurf boards or wakesurfing......yet. As respects to how the Ronix handles as compared to the Broadcast, it was faster in everyway.

When I ride the Broadcast it's more like my mothers Cadillac. It's comfortable in the wake and cruises nicely. The Ronix is more like my Infinity G35, quick, responsive and more fun to ride.

Finally, the Ronix boards at the Warming Hut are all 2011's, as best I can tell. Call them for more info - I've bought several products from the Warming Hut and I've had good experience.

                            Good luck
