On the Ve, add another 750lb sac or jumbo sac into the rear locker, and try that without the front weight. Front weight on the 24Ve knocks down the wake and lowers the amount of push.

We have a 2010 RZ2 with Pro Ballast. I generally weight the back at 100%, the front at 0-100%, TAPS at 3-4, and run at around 10.6. The problem I have is it seems like the wave is too short. Either i get washed up or I'm on top of the swim platform. There's a really, really small sweet spot.

Is there something I'm missing? We can generally only ride ropeless for about 20-30 seconds.

      Any suggestions is appreciated...

Send some pictures, but fill up the front on the side of surf. I have the same ballast system. Get weight in that rear corner. Stuff a jumbo sac in there with your 350 sac, or replace the 350 sac like we did, see cheapthrill for the specs and purchase.

Calibrated makes some nice boards as does the Walker Project. Victoria also make skim style boards.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I would say you both need more weight. I have the 2010 RZ2 and my buddy has the 05 24V. In the 24V we run 1000lb in each locker both full, 1000 on top of the seats in the bow and three 400lb sacks on the surf side. That boat needs weight, but with weight throws a huge wave!

On my RZ2, Surfside locker full (1000 lb), oposite locker 50%(500lb ish), Bow 100% (400lb), and 2 400lb sacks on the surfside one on the seat on 1 on the floor. However with that much weight in the RZ2 you have to spped up 12.1ish TAPS 1.

We run those setups daily and have huge waves that are very forgiving and tons of push and the pocket is LONG.

As much weight as we are running TAPS can only be 1 or 2 any higher will create wash.

Yes, that is correct. We can get up to 3. But any higher, it will also make wake too steep and transition too harsh.

How fast are you going with the taps at 1-2 and how fast do you go if you try to increase taps to 4-5?

On my boat (RZ2) we have to go 12.1ish, on the 24V 10.7. Cannot raise TAPS over 3 on either boat with this much weight. Wake simply washes out.

RJ rides 12.4, and can go up to 13 if he wants. Wake is a bit longer. Also, we sometimes will fill both sides up front, and go 12.5 or so, and get a really long and big wake. I have some video I will be posting of that soon. REALLY long. But we don't weight the boat like that unless its flat, and no one around. Don't like that much weight up front. There is this video we did before, but we have some more we just did.
