    Can't let go =(

So I'm still learning. I can get up & stay up with no problem. But I CAN'T LET GO OF THE ROPE WITHOUT FALLING!!! Never fails. I will just drop it & lose all momentum. Bag in the front is @ about 30% & rear compartment bag is full on whichever side we're surfing on.

Here's a pciture of the wake w/ my extra "ballast" supervising me mastering the perfect falling sequence.

Here's a link to a video of round 1079 of my falling efforts. I couldn't figure out how to upload a youtube video, or how to turn it upright.

Wave is too small. You are going too fast or looks that way...

How big is your rear bag?

How much weight is 30% for the front bag?
    Waiting for another good one!

This is an easy fix!!!! When you let go of the rope, don't look up! When you look up, your balance transfers to your back foot and you lose momentum. When you watch the video, you can even see your weight transfer to the back. You were free riding in the video just fine based on the slack in the rope.

Yep, it is certainly the fact that your weight is on your back leg. As a general rule, weight on your back foot slows you down, weight on your front foot speeds you up.

How fast is the boat going?

Tige Surf Ballast Package which I believe consists of 400 lbs in the front & 350 lbs on each side in the rear. Wifey said she was going about 11 mph.

You can also try not filling that front bag, slowing it down a tad (10.6 to 10.8) and then set the taps to about 6 or so as a way to try and get more push from the wave but you are already free riding it.

Try setting the cruise at 10.6. For the beginners in my crew this was an easier speed for them to get the feel for the first time and then eventually get rid of the rope. Also, try to orient your weight more evenly, maybe even play with your foot position on the board. Just be sure that the majority of your weight is not on your back foot, or you will fall right out of the wake.

Add more weight - the 24 takes a ton more weight. Also you may want to play with the speed as boats are all different. My RZ like atleast 10.8, but I have found that with the 1300 lbs of ballast it takes more speed (11.6-12.0)

Last - practice, practice, practice. I spent a ton of time trying to figure it out as I am sure many others have as well. For those that went wireless in one afternoon - who cares

Do you have an INDO board? They great for learning to keep your head over the balance point and sliding your hips forward and back to alter the boards placement on the balance point. What does that mean? It means you'll learn to use the balance point of you surfboard much more effectively to control your speed. As others have said about the video, as soon as you let go you have all your weight on you back foot. That = brakes on. When you let go, slide your hips over your front foot.

I'm not sure what board that is but, it looks slow.

Your wake could definitely use some more weight in the back. 24 is a huge boat and needs huge ballast.

I would dump the front ballast for now and just roll with the 250 tank and 350 surf sac. For the 24V, 11mph sounds like a good starting point.

next is going to be stance and balance. Need to get your feet to the toe side of the board and get some weight on the front foot. This will give you some speed. Having weight on the back foot is like standing on the brakes.

Dont be in a hurry to toss the rope, just surf with it slack for awhile.

You need to focus on the swim deck... not on the spotter dude. Look down at the swim deck.. get, your weight moving in a downhill motion. And Fiver is right too.. small wave.. too much speed.

Think about a half pipe on a skateboard. You need to compression down the transition to build speed. It's the same thing.

Here are a couple of videos that might help.

And some more video of other people learning behind our boat:
