    Need new board

My son has outgrown his current board (tsunami) and is looking for the next step. Now the tough part.. he is 15 and 6'7" 210lbs. Come to think of it he has outgrown everything... any ideas.

That big, he might consider The Walker Project F-18 in a 4'10 ?

Is he a cruiser or does he push the limits?
    Waiting for another good one!

He's a cruiser but wants to try tricks, very athletic and quick for his size.

        Surf or Skim?

the F-18 I mentioned above is surf style.
        Waiting for another good one!

Sounds like he could go with a Red Woody, Blue Lake or Squirt from Inland Surfer or an F18 or Bazooka from The Walker Project. Lots of wakesurf companies out there now!

I don't really know the difference between surf or skim, he wants to try some 360's and get a little air also. I think we will hold onto the old board for new people to use it seems fairly easy to learn on.

                15, 6'7" 210! How about the front door? J/K

Haven't I seen Dennis on surfdad's balsa board?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Wow, 6' 7" at 15!!!! I hope he is also finding time to take up that sport with the round orange ball too!!! Wish I knew more about surfboards but with my recent searching for a beginner board it seems that the inland surfers would be your next step. Search for posts by surf dad as he has lots of good info and pics of boards in use. Good luck

Check this thread out. You can't miss Dennis. He's the big fella. Not sure what that yellow board is but he tears it up on that thing.

Looks like a bazooka or red woody might be the right fit, thanks for all the suggestions. Fortunately he does love hoops and has quite a few Div 1 schools interested in him. He plays on a traveling team sponsored by NBA players so hopefully he can buy dad a new boat sometime!

Best of luck to your son in pursuing his dreams. I played at a small NAIA school in South Dakota and sure would have loved that kind of height. Just a short 5' 10" kid that camped behind the 3-pt line.

3's are worth more than 2 you know!!!

Get a shred stixx custom! They are so freaking sick! They can size it to your weight. This is my new ride for 2011! It stares at me while my boat is getting done

                              Hubdawg:

I know everybody has favs and makes good comments but wanted to offer some view also. I have Walker Project Bazooka 5.1 from last yr and really like it. Its a great board and maybe bit too much board for me but gettin there. It rides real nice even though they are pricey. Its a great value from quality perspective. Dennis Horton is THE guy at Walker. Towanza.com carries the boards too. I'm right at 250 so lots of room to go for your youngster. ST68 also has one w custom paint job. You can see the board in action via a buddy (Mark) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rjWES9FTUk . Mark goes about 210. Have fun and send video/pics later. good luck.
