Ahh, I thought that wake looked a little funky. Going back and looking, I think the little splashes of yellow should have been the big tip off. Since its there, what did you think of the B52? There is something on the front left leg of the tower that I can't make out in that pic.

Yeah yellow! There is a cute story on this boat. It's been sold to a lady that lives in RUSSIA and summers in Bali, Indonesia. So it'll be shipped there next week. Can you imagine the cost of shipping and the VAT? Anyway you have to feel for her, it must be so hard, when you can't get a good surf boat at your summer home.
The B-52...like all boats it's got good and bad. Price tag is 60K, unless you summer in Bali , that pure vert is super fast...1,200 pounds in like 45 seconds or something. It seemed to work really well on this hull. I've not liked it in the new Enzo's. Weight placement is more critical for wakesurfing than wakeboarding, I think. The wake is long, tall, solid and it seemed to have a great transition at the various weights we used. I don't like when a boat throws a super steep wake to get height.
Now on these pictures, there is 3,250 pounds of water and people ballast!! Even just using stock ballast it takes like 1,800 before people. On my lake, I'd be paying tickets every week!
The boat is only 100 inches wide, slightly less than most other boats. I don't know, it's not much, but I seemed to "feel" it. Maybe I'm being too critical. I think what happens is with the built in tanks you lose storage space, so THAT combined with it being narrower made it feel cramped.
From a surf wake standpoint...wow! tough to beat. Solid on both side. In fact it's a right hand rotation and the port side is really good. I should find the darkside wake pictures for you Nick, being a died in the wool darkesider!Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

I agree it is genius. If anyone ever does a 100% dedicated surf boat where you never store anything in a locker and they can make the hard tanks fill all that space, it would be KILLER. 2,000 pounds in less than a minute and swapping sides would be 30 seconds to unload and another minute to load the opposite side. Literally you could change sides based on user preference. Who's up? Oh, Goofy McStarboard ok hang on. 30 seconds to empty and then while McStarboard is putting his PFD on, it's filled.
For contests there isn't a need for 2 boats, literally you COULD swap over while doing the rider change. And you could maintain seeding also: regular, regular, goofy, regular, goofy, goofy, goofy, regular.
Someone needs to get this RIGHT! If I ran the world, things would be different!
Yeah I did get a chance to drive it, I know you'll find it hard to believe but Drew sure seemed like he'd sell us one
This boat had a 409 in it. Holy crap that's a LOT of engine. I had some difficulty feathering it. It sure got riders up in a hurry, although at the costs of all the joints in their arms! Things like docking it and tossing it in reverse were abrupt. I'm sure you'd get used to it after awhile. I don't think I'd opt for that engine in anything, personally.
I am height challenged and Judy isn't even 5 feet tall, so we can't sit while driving a wakesurf session. No different with this boat. I can stand in it really well
I think I have a picture of the interior somewhere. I'll check.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

My first thought on that interior is that it looks pretty utilitarian. That's a good thing was my second thought. Then something else grabbed me. The helm and observers area are nearly identical to my boat. No wonder I like it. I do however think mine is easier on the eyes. The basic layout is strikingly similar though.
Well, I had intended to post a pic of mine, even went out and took a freshy with the phone but it doesn't want to load. Whatever.
What did you think of that tower? I still like 4 legged towers. I like the lines of that one. Are those lights on the front legs, down low?
Thanks again for the pics and mini-review.You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I have a few pictures of the dash you might enjoy. There is lots of billet aluminum in the boat. I think that's standard, but I'm not sure. The guage cluster was pretty simple and easy to read. I have SEVERE bifocals, but still found it easy to read.
The pure vert system wasn't as intunitive to me as I would have liked. There are 3 buttons. Port and Starboard and then the open and close switch. I guess so you can't do both sides simultaneously and sink the boat? The process was: hold the port or starboard switch for 2 seconds then the open and close switch for 2 seconds.
Now James got it in 2 seconds but I was all - what switch? How long? wait is that open?
and NO I'm not stupid!!!!
Those lights are around eye level'ish when seated. I'll try and find a better picture, but I'm not sure if I took one.
I liked the tower for a few reasons, one is the aforementioned height issue. I was able to attach the rope to the tower!!! Yeah I did it! However, I did have to stand on the seat, the taller folks could reach while standing on the floor. When the tow ball is too far in the middle of the boat, I have to do a Tarzan impression and sort of scale the tower OR invite a 6' tall buddy to go wakesurf!
It was solid. I didn't notice any shaking.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

You can see the pure vert switches under the stereo in that last picture and I can see that the middle switch is labeld L-tank-R so I guess it's open, side select, close switches, maybe? It was definately not intuitive to me! as evidenced by the fact that I still don't get it!Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

The dash is much better looking up close. It's a nice clean layout. I like it. Is like to see Tige do a non-touchscreen option on their boats.
Are you gonna get mad if I understand the Pure Vert. Select side (center switch?), one onethousand, two onethousand. Open selected side (either l or r switch?), one onethousand, two onethousand. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

You sonofa... No, MOST folks are not so technically challenged as I am and you're smarter than I am to begin with! I'm sure that it's this easy for the vast majority of folks, but it definately had me whooped! James had no issues with it either. OH NO! It must be age actived attention deficit disorder! Isn't that a great picture? I'm not sure how or where Drew took that, but it does make the wake look meaty. I have some rinky-dink frame grab software and I snatched a few sequence shots from videos that I didn't seem to get on the other camera!Attached Files- M4H00378-003.jpg (66.8 KB, 18 views)
