Thanks skippabcool. I wish I had taken video of the ramp at the end of the day. The water level at our late is so high that the main ramp and one other ramp are under water and closed, so all of the traffic is on a single ramp. Yesterday a disabled boat was towed in, but not real close so one of the crew got out and tried to swim the boat in. Think other boaters would give them some room? NOT! Boats zig-zagging everywhere, boats tied up to the dock as they waited for their trailer. It was a mess.
We did get this little video of James. Let's see if I can post it, it's been at least 24 hours since I did it last, I've forgotten already!
It's unedited, I don't like some of the intentionally misleading nature of so many of the edited clips, so we just avoid that. This was one of James' runs from yesterday. It starts with a nice grabbed aerial, then into a tail whip air, then a straight ollie 3 and midway through the run James' signature "indecision" it's an ollie 180 that's STOPPED and finished with a frontside 180, very technical, then an air 180, followed by an air reverse, then a grabbed ollie 3 and finally a fall! I taught James that last "fall" dealio.
Thanks jbort! James is very talented. The camera is just a little Sony Cyber-shot point n' shoot digi-cam. All the pictures and video are shot on that same camera. I have seen so many of the edited videos and find it distatseful how intentionally misleading they can be, I just prefer to show a snippet of James riding, start to fall as it actually happens. I taught him that "falling" part.
Here are a couple of youngsters we took out last sunday night and had a blast. this is first time wake surfing & did real well and got totally excited about surfing. You can hear my Jake yapping in the foreground and talkin about Wake9 t-shirts but he gets it wrong - kids gotta go ropeless for 30 econds then get a shirt if they still have some (I think). Mom and Dad also got up both of whom are whompin slalom skiers. All had lots of fun.
I have to keep in practice, so I don't forget! YouTube video of James from over the weekend. We went out eary before the tubers hit the lake! Unedited clip of James including an air reverse and an ollie 720 amongst other stuff. I taught him that falling thing at the end.
