9 yr old surfing - first time wireless-congrats - Goofy too

We had some new friends join us for surfin fun last Sunday on Lake Lanier. Will is in the video for only his 2nd time out (but first time with us) and bigtime fun!! He did a great job on several rides that day. Will's Dad is Mark and can be seen in the vid too along w will's younger brother, Chris. They were rather impressed with our wave size - Dad rode several times also and wireless.

    Will's video:

Boat setup: 07 Tige 22Ve with 500lb factory ballast in rear, 400lb fatsac in v-drive locker and under seat, plus 200-250lbs in v-drive bag in v-drive locker on top of other fatsac. 2 kids and 3 adults. TAPs at 6 and 10 mph for Will.

That is great, post the video here:

And I will send your son a free t-shirt. These shirts can not be bought, only given out to people that learn to wakesurf, especially kids.

A tip for you and your son. If the rider has trouble coming up on the boat a lot, speed up a tad, it will help them stay away.

Also, his front foot is too far to the outside. It will help him if it is more towards the wave.

I love seeing videos of kids learning.

Thats great, I believe that came from one of our videos of teaching people how to surf. Very cool.

That is funny. Yes Superman came from Ragboy in one of the how to videos, I use the Superman move for myself b/c it works!! And it works for everyone else who uses it. Great and fun tip. Some teenagers thought they were too cool for superman one time... they fell back in the wave b/c they half way did it. The next time however they were true believers in superman b/c it kept them in the wave!!!!

I know, it looks kinda stupid, but it helps get your weight right on the board and the wave when you are learning. Thomas had to do it for a whole season. Glad to see those have been so helpful.
