wakesurfboards I have no idea what to buy help!!

So I have been doing some research and I am now more confused than ever. I would like to get into wakesurfing but I would rather not spend an arm and leg for an all around surf board. I have been wakeboarding for 12 years and waterskiing for 23 I have surfed a bit in the ocean so I think I can get up on just about anything but I would like a board that my Me, My wife and most of our friends can get up on. Me and my wife are around 145 and most of our friends are about that same size but up 170 lb. Is there a board anyone recommends that would suit some beginners but have room to move to intermediate stuff. I know I am asking a lot but figured you guys could help. I am trying to keep it below $250 to $300 is that unrealistic I would consider used boards as well.

The Inland Surfer Squirt is a great price point board to start out with, and from what I have seen and read, is a good all around board for everyone on the boat.

No doubt, i was in the same boat as you and after reading and reading i figured opinions on boards are like asses. So i went out and bought a liquid force venture 5.0 from our local boardshop. Easy to get up on but we had trouble getting up enough speed to let go of the rope. I figured...what can the difference in a board really be as a starter board for the family? Turns out a lot....guess mine's a dud, so avoid it.
I'd rather be a conservative nut job than a liberal with no nuts and no job.

Just my opinion, but I love my Shred Stixx boards. The comp 1 is awesome, but might be a bit advanced...maybe. The thresher is super sweet too and was very easy for my wife to learn on and would be able to accommodate you as your skills improve.

My wife and I learned on a CWB Heartbreaker board and it worked great. I think it was around $300. She still uses it primarily and I use an Inland Surfer Green Lugey.

Go to your local water sports store and see if they will let you demo a board or two before you buy.The one around me lets me demo for free;but I'll throw a donation to his charities if I don't buy.
