Designing a board for Ragboy

I actually saved that image and started to curve the nose out instead of in and I was going to post it and ask you... but the shape then looked... well... not like something a man would want to ride.
I read your post regarding the shape and that is why the nose is inverted too?Waiting for another good one!

I have not taken the time to read all the posts here. I am 5'11" and was 245 lbs abd was able to get up and free ride my wifes 4'2" liquid force custom, it was difficult to free ride. I ride 4'6" oneil and phase to 4'9" walker regularily.
A couple years ago i got my buddy up for the first time ever on water, he is 6'3" at 320 lbs. the board was a 5'6" butter board and he got up on his first try at 37 years old.
I would not recomend an ocean board.

@ five,
There will be a nose rocker of sorts, but not much. Up at the nose, I'm going to thin the underside out a hair, in hopes of producing lift. That whole area from the front foot forward, I'm hoping, will give me some lift without an increase in drag. My rough sketch shows that part of the board should pop out fairly quickly, what I'm hoping is that...concave will sort of keep the board tracking the nose straight and up and not want to skitter around side to side too much. In a rough test (meaning a piece of balsa in the pool ) the convex no man should ride this tended to shoot to one side or the other under a "heavy" load. When I curved the underside - ummm, thinned it, and then cut that concave, the test piece lost much of that shooting to the left or right.
I'm hoping that we'll be able to get Robert up fairly slowly - if we can, then it's a cake walk, the problem comes in when you have to ZOOM to surf speeds. So imagine creeping up really slowly to plaining speeds without the loss of Robert's arms in the process.
Or, think of the amazing splinter that Robert will get in his butt!Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

Drum roll please! I opted out of the proposed design - remembering the old kook addage that you measure twice and cut once because it's tough to make the wood grow back!
However, when we test it, I'll have my buddy Dennis bring his sawzall so that we can "fine tune" the shape.
Also, if anyone has an old set of wakeboard fins - deeper than the 1" fins I have on it and wants to donate them to the Stop The Hate wakesurf foundation, please let me know!
Here it is in the picture - it's the LOG standing up Dim's are 6' x 30" x .75" Nose rocker is 1.5", tail rocker is 0" and the concave - yes that's right, I said concave, is 1/4"Attached FilesBuy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

We are giving it a test today to see if any "tweaks" are necessary. Hopefully we'll also have a "best practices" description on how to get up on the board.
I don't know how this tiny wakesurf community (not here at Tigeowners, but in general) became a place where an opinion couldn't be expressed or where money or a boat held more importance than a human being or the dignity of a human being, but hopefully this ulgy-as-sin board will give give pause to the hatred. I have no unrealistic expectation that this will cause a Zebra to change it's stripes, those folks are just naturally that way about life. However, may we all take a stand for human dignity and against those who would attempt to hurt another human being.
Wish the big ugly stick a perfect maiden voyage, please!Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com
