Oh boy...and I thought WW was bad. I don't think ragboy was bashing their boat, just the fact that it's not the same on both sides. People get way too serious with the brand loyalty thing.
    Here's the actual thread:

Yeah - way crazy, but you can't public defame like that. The owner of the site participated and so is aware of the libelous nature. I'd bet a plaintiff's attorney would take that on contingency in a heart beat. Part of why every forum includes the "no name calling or defamatory" remarks provision is to protect them from such a suit.

That just FEEEEELLLLSSSSSSSS like easy money!

Is it even worth it? I mean Robert is collecting the top talent in the sport and having them ride behind his boat and then throwing the pictures out there. We all know that Robert is not out to bad mouth anyone, he just wants to promote the sport and is doing way more than all of them guys are. He's just really excited to share his findings on the various boats out there after lots of research and he chose Tige. Look at the Malibu/MC/SANTE wars that take place, I'm surprised there hasn't been blood shed over those idiots fighting over who has the best wake.

Its all good. It doesn't even phase me. Those few didn't hear a word I said, but plenty of other people did. When people respond that way, it just makes it clear I won the argument. In the future, even on an enzo, prop rotation will not be an issue. If that isn't pointed out, the sport won't progress. So there are few guys out there that still think the world is flat, that is fine. I will keep hosting riders and families and having my own family fun on my beautiful RZ2 and switching from side to side at will, great wake on both sides.

All you tige, sanger, and supreme owners can join me. And we should include the avy and typhoon owners too. I am sure there are more, but you get the idea.

Yes, I get excited, but dude, would you get excited if you saw surfing like that 5 feet from you on your beautiful new boat? Just watch that raw video, you can hear me. "Whoah!" I love it.

@Timmy, are you kidding? Plaintiff's attorney would file a suit demanding 2 million dollars. They settle in arbitration for 300,000. 40% to the attorney and 60% to Robert and wake9.com for basically just bringing it to the attention of an attorney. From a defendadnt's stand point, it becomes a business decision - you have to defend against it and what does that cost to go to trial, $500,000? Even then, jury's award on emotion not facts - Plaintiff portray's Robert as a hard working stand up member of the community, Foster Parent does wonderful things for everyone and CC.com tries to destroy him and his family? That's a slam dunk. So to defend against that: depo's and discovery and trial prep all at $300 an hour and trial work at $500 an hour. It's cheaper to pay out. It doesn't even matter if there is any merit to the suit, you still have to defend against it. And if you lose after the $500,000 and the Jury Awards the 2 mil, time to close up shop and file BK.

I had to go back and double check it - there is actually a veiled reference in there to a "Michael Jackson feel", the intent is to say that Robert is a child molestor!!!! OMG - that's like winning the lottery! Robert, sue and use the money to stage contests all over the west coast!

Yeah I just tried to go look, but in an action if you destroy the evidence the courts almost always frown on that and will hammer a defendant. You have to protect the rest of us from those folks getting a wild hair and attempting to destroy our lives. Call your attorney, there are hundreds of witnesses.

I don't want one of those folks feeling they can make some veiled reference that I am committing immoral or unethical acts, that would destroy my practice! and my ability to provide for my family.

You have to pursue an action so that those folks don't feel they can do that at will.

No, it is reassuring to you.

I am not aware of anyone that was at the top of their sport that turned into a premier coach of anything. Perhaps you could enlighten us.

The one thing about those teaching, over practitioners, is that the practitioner more often than not is narrow focused on performing in the manner that they deem successful for themselves.

Great teachers and coaches look at performers having the much wider view of looking across performances and trends and applying that perspective to individual performers with the goal of making each unique individual and their style achieve maximum return on their efforts.

                          I am a coach; I understand this.

Alas, there is no point trying to change someone's mind. Some things will be argued regardless of merit based on tried and true patterns of results based behaviors.

I avoid WW. Personally, I haven't found anything worth consuming my time when I did visit.

Rock on Rag - you owe no one anything and yet you give so much.

Hugely defamatory towards Robert and Wake9.com. I absolutely hate Plaintiff's attorney's and hope they rot in hell, but there is clearly libel involved in those posts. The owner of that site participated and there are posts on that site by presumed employees of Fineline and Centurion. I wonder if Mr. Lee has see the thread yet?

California's 6th circuit has found that defamatory postings on the Internet are libel, not slander, under California law and plaintiffs may collect damages for them without demonstrating specific injury.

Plaintiffs suing for slander must prove special damages, while in libel—defined by Sec. 45 as defamation by “writing, printing, picture, effigy, or other fixed representation to the eye”—damages are presumed.

Do we have any scum-of-the-earth...er, I mean Plaintiff's Attorney's on TO.com? Is that thread actionable?
                              Classic.

I saw that. It might be nothing more than a CYA move, but it was the "right" thing to do and I am glad they did it.
