08 RZ2 with custom surf sacs

Seconding summer with the custom surf sacs (thanks again Mike) in the RZ2 and we are having a blast.
I have attached some pics from my buddy riding regular and myself riding on the dark side. I know I am not wearing a PFD we had a jetski just out of frame. Plus my fanny pack kept me a float.

    Set up for both sides
The boat speed - 10.8 mph
    Taps - 4/5
    Full custom sacs ~1,000 lbs
With Driver ~200 lbs and two passengers totaling ~400lbs
Total weight sacs and crew ~1,600 lbs in boat.
    I also have a 2010 swim platform.

The first two are of my buddy. He is about 6 feet tall.
The second two are of me at the bottom of the wave and on top. I am 6'2" tall.

I am now working on the jump off the swim platfrom for my starts. I was close after 3 tries today.

Uhhh, what's up with the sexy boy shorts and the fanny pack?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Are you still getting a line in there even with the new platform? Here's my '07 RZ2 with the OG platform, 10.6 taps at 5-6, wife driving and a 15 year old girl sitting behind the drivers seat(had her move later):

It's almost shoulder high in this one

The shorts are my father-in-laws when he was a young whipper snapper in the 60's.
The fanny pack was needed to make it, as we call it "going cash". If you ever wonder what/why people wear what they wear we call that "cash". Sport that handle bar mustache with the Miami Vice sport coat. Hey if you want wear that mullet go for it.

The new platform is way better than the OG platform. Depending on the speed the secondary lip is non existence. I am thinking of filing the corners with an epoxy this winter to smooth it out. Ala ragboy's research. The lip is only a 1/4 to 1/2 deep on the bottom of the platform. So it should not be that hard to fill in. The new platform is worth it.

Timmy, these pics definitely don't look like you are listed over enough. You should not see that second lip at all. Here are a couple of pictures, with 550 lbs of lead in rear surf corner, bottom hard tank filled, top rear sac empty. Front surf side full. This simulates what we expect to get with a custom sac. Dennis and I on surf side in ballast boy position, but remember, only 565 of lead, not 1000 lb sac, so about the same.

              And its nice and long.

I think taps was about 2-3 here. Here is how it looked at the rub rail, just kissing at speed. So we were not in the HEAVY setup. Still an amazing wake.

              Running between 11-12mph to taste.

With my '07 platform I don't think there is any way around the lip in the wave. IMO the custom sac could be bigger for the RZ2 as it does not fill the locker up completely like it does on the 22Ve. I know it's only a couple of inches in the locker but that could be a little bit of extra weight and then on the port side it could be a little bit longer since there isn't a cooler. The rub rail is definitely not in the water without people weight. When I have people in the boat the rub rail is right on the water but I didn't have enough peeps with me this weekend The wave you see there has incredible push and a pretty good ramp which is really what I was looking for.
