I read the post on ww, with the nice photos.Surprisingly our local B'ham paper had a photo of Chase surfing with two lines mentioning the event but nothing else on the info.
I guess James is considered a Pro with his winnings!

Thanks everyone! Yeah Karen - James has won close to $2,000! Not enough to cover the cost of competing (travel, lodging, etc), but not bad for an 18 year old!

being very careful with typing: @ fog_ducker (I did it! ) I have some pictures of the event on webshots, but the run was several hundred feet off shore, so not much in terms of the riding. Wake9 will be posting up video of all the riders, I believe, within a week or so. They had cameras on the boat. Ken Stanek was the offical photographer and has much of the event posted on his website - thos pictures are for sale, but you can see most of the riding up close and personal. I have some on the flyboy wakesurf boards site that will also take you to the webshots photo album.

Great job, James did awesome, and I have had the privilege of watching his run in FULL HD, some amazing riding. Don't worry, so will you later this week. But this is fun in the meantime.

We will be posting all the videos and a bunch of photos, but we have to work out way through them. But I recorded this stream from the podiums ceremony. If you watched the online broadcast, this is exactly what you saw online during the podiums. For some reason, the video takes a bit too load, its a different kind of stream, but its good fun.
