    1998 Pre2100WT Surf Wake

Can I weight my boat to create a large enough surf wake. My son and I currently try surfing with a 225# sumo under the rear seat. 2 people on the rear deck , Driver and passenger on spotter seat up front. The wake is pretty big but we loose momenton upon letting go of the rope. Suggestions on weight. Should I by another 225# to put in the rear storage compartment.

Not sure if this is the same hull as my 99 21i? We surf with more weight and all of it is in the back. That said, when we first began we were using a 350# sach sitting under the back deck lid and any extra bodies were sitting on the side rails corresponding to regular or goofy foot.
I would say TRD on this forum could tell you more than me b/c he has his really dialed in but in short you will be able to surf behind there.

I now run an 1100# u shape sac around the engine and sides plus one 300# sack under the rear lid. We are at 10.5 mph. Any weight up front will lengthen the pocket but give it less rise so a more inexperienced surfer (like myself) will have more challenges.
