    98 2200v setup for surf.

    Any recs on turning my 98 2200v into a surfing machine? My kids tried it on my bros boat and loved it

      I have a 01 21V which throws a nice surf wake.

      You need at least 1000lbs of ballast weight on the surf side to create a decent surf wake.

      I have approx 1000 lbs in the rear locker (surf side), 350-400lbs ballast under the bench seat (surf side), and another 400 lbs on top of the bench seat if just a crew of 3. If you have more peps, you can lose the ballast bag on the seat.

      I also have 150 lbs of lead weight in the bow. Sometimes I will add 300-400lbs of ballast in the bow which helps to lengthen the surf pocket.

      I drive about 10.5-11 mph with taps between 3-4.
