Just remember, this doesn't make your wake bigger, or better as far as push or steepness, it just cleans up the wake, and allows you to do more with weight, when before certain scenarios cuz your deck to dig in. For me, i had a double lip thing going, and when I listed my boat over enough to get rid of it, the deck dug in. The new deck, eliminated the problem, allowing me to remove the double lip through better weighting.

Anyone know how the 2009 RZ2 platform compares to the 2010?

Also, would filling in the lip under the platform to create a smooth surface help at all? Perhaps a tapered block glassed into the bottom would do it?

I have the same boat and do not have any problems with my Teak deck cutting the wake. I would rearrange your weight a few more times and see if you can't get it figured out for free. Not sure I am sold on the platform causing you problems...but I've been wrong before.

There have been people who build a platform out of 1' Lexan (usually so they can get crazy with LEDs though) and it looked pretty slick. Surf around on Ebay and I bet you can find a sheet of Lexan for a couple hundo or less that would work for you. Do the plywood template suggestion to figure your shape, then cut the Lexan.

        good luck
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

We are gonna take the teak completely off to test the theory when we go out tomorrow. Will let you know what we find. We have weight figured out, wave is perfect except for the lip which is rolling because the teak is hitting.

to be honest I hope this is the problem, otherwise we have a **** wave with a ton of weight....and i dont think thats the case.

I'm not completely certain, but I think that the 2010 is the same size and shape as 2009, but for 2010 they have basically filled in the bottom. I think that ragboy stated it still has a small lip, but nothing like our 2009's.

I can't find the pst where you told me your weight setup, would you mind terribly refresshing my memory on how you set up your boat--so I can copy you. lol

I'm not 100% happy with my wake. It's big, but seems pretty short. I'm fairly sure I need weight up front and fixing my taps would not hurt either.

With your boat, only 20 feet, probably need more weight in the front. I would get 800-1000 lbs in rear corner and up to 3-500 lbs in front on same side.

Whats your weight setup look like right now?

Right now we have, #250 or #350 filled on the surf side, 3 7gal fresh water jugs in the storage under portside seats or in the locker, 2 #150 up front one on either side under the seat, and as many people as I can get out there on one side. We are working on getting some more sacks to set on the back seat, and to be able to move around. I got the freshwater jugs from REI for like 15 bucks a piece and they are nice cause you can move them around to play with the wave, just be sure to JB weld the went plug closed.

As of right now, thats ours set up.

Can anyone witha 2010 verify the bottom of the platform is filled in. Anyone with an opinion re effectiveness of fill?

It is NOT filled in on 2010 boats, just partially. Here is a pic I took:

It still impacts the wake, just not much.

I use 2 Vdrive sacks (think they're 400# each in the back locker and a custom bag that runs under the port seats from rear locker to cooler under observers seat-prolly around 300# I would guess.
Normally only have 3 people in the boat unless our ladies are with, which really doesn't help much as the heaviest is 105# lol

Taps is broken, gotta fix that.

I really want a couple big friends to come with and sit in the bow so I can see what happens without buying a sack. I just get tired of spending $$$$$$ on the boat CONSTANTLY. Not knowing if the sacks will be +/- to the wake, I don't wanna spend the cash.

7 gallons can't really weigh that much. I should try a cooler full of water or something I already have and see.

                        edit-
well I guess water is 8.345404#/gallon so your 21 gallons is 175#-- that's not so bad.Bonus that it's movable
