My buddy and fellow Tigeowners member Kvon was in Austin for work and we got out on Lake Austin last night for some surfing. You may have seen me discussing my board options in the daily deal thread, well I finally got to demo a CWB Ride and loved it! Kvon also was digging it and he rode without the rope for the first time! We also finally got the wake dialed in on the 22V. Good times and now I am even more jazzed about this summer! Only a couple iPhone pics and one video I will post at some point today. I am in the first pic, Kvon in the second.

Buckaroo - The best place to wakeboard on Lake Austin is way up on the north end, away from all the bulkheads and people. Still it gets pretty crowded on the weekends for boarding, you had better be out there and boarding by 9am or out there on a weekday. There is a public ramp up there, Quinlan Park, that is accessible from 620 at the back of stenier ranch subdivision. The other two ramps are on the south end of the lake, on right by a popular restuarant, Hula Hut and another off 360 about a quarter (?) of the way up the lake. I surf down on the south end because those ramps are convenient, the water is warmer and I am not going to ruin the north end butter surfing. Also the north end water is CHILLY because it is coming out of the bottom of Lake Travis. in the heat of the summer the south end is usually around 84 and the north end closer to 72. Must be freaking cold right now because the south end was around 74 yesterday.

A group of us will be out on June 12th all day at Emma Long Park, if you are in town look for the blue and white 22V parked there or surfing in that general area.

@andrzej77ff - were you out Wednesday afternoon around 4:30 near the 360 bridge, I saw a white limited very similar to yours but tough to tell from your avatar pic.
