    Rising Swim Platform

    Hello,
I just bought a 2004 24v and am starting to convert it into a wave monster. I have a question about what you all have been doing about the swim deck cutting into the wave. I love the teak wood deck and don’t want to reduce the size (like Duffy's) to prevent it from interfering.

Ideally I would like to find an easy way to elevate it while the ballasts are full and then lower it when were done surfing. It would be a plus if it was load bearing and secured at both positions. I have some ideas for both manual and mechanical systems (See Pic) to do this, but don’t want to fall into the trap of over engineering something that’s already been done.

I am throwing this out here in the hopes that some of you have already came up with some easy and efficient ways of accomplishing this. I look forward to hearing your creative solutions.

A couple of solutions I've been kicking around are:

    Bar Lift Mechanism

    Scissor Hinges - See Pic

    Telescopic Mechanism

Having the deck under water never seems to be an issue.

      Good to know.

Thanks for the write up on the ballast installation. It was a great reference in designing my system.
