Man I saw that and I am tempted, I weigh 220, ok 225, ok fine 227, BUT it can handle up to that weight and I really need a bigger board. Was going to demo a CWB Ride next week but this is a bit cheaper than the $300 I have seen the Ride for. No where to demo this one in town that I have seen (Austin). I am a beginner can ride for a short time without the rope but my board is too small, that is my problem today. Have any of you bigger surfer dudes ridden this board? And does surf board construction mean it easily dents?

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

I don't think Darin is a big guy is he? We met him at a contest with Shaun Murray and both of those guys are 5'4" - really smallerish.

IMO, if you look at board for big guys, like the TWP Bazooka, IS RED, SS Jamako, that Towanza dealio. They all have a few things in common. One is a wider, fuller tail. Placing the wide point up front tends to make you ride forward - and also moving your rear foot forward. Once that rear foot comes UP, you lose leverage on turning - it's a lever effect, the fins being the point of the fulcrum.

That price was remarkable, and I am sure there are folks in the 200's that can ride it, but it wouldn't be my recommendation with that double bump narrowed swallowtail.

Thanks Surfdad, I appreciate the guidance. I was hoping to get a board around $300, those are a bit pricey. I am on "new baby and one income" budget these days. :-) I am going to test drive the CWB Ride Wednesday afternoon we will see how that goes. My girls are ready for the lake though!
