Awesome! Congrats to James on the new board! That is really sweet! So is this something that you came up with in all of your experimenting?

Thanks! I'll pass along your congrats.

The boards will all be a composite sandwich construction, which has been around for years but James and I tweaked it for behind the boat and his style of riding. The CompSand allows the board to be super light AND stiff without the normal heel dent issues. The final production board hasn't be seen by the public yet, but the apex being moved forward, concave shape and what I refer to as an almost 3 stage rocker are all results of the testing we've done the last few years.

Hey Surfdad, how would you say that board compares to the Walker Bullet? It looks similar in shape.

            Thanks thtrog.

@ Micah, James used to ride for Mike at TWP, up until this year. The Bullet is a tamed down version of James' Old Signature Model when he rode for Mike. To be honest, this new FlyBoy and the old TWP James Walker Signature Model are amazing boards, but only a handful of folks really need the performance of either of them.

The Bullet is more forgiving and tricks or turns are smoother - they flow better, but that board isn't as responsive as the FlyBoy model. The FlyBoy model has a significantly different rocker that we've been working on for the last few years. Normally boards that are fast down-the-line, tend to NOT turn worth a crap. The 3-stage rocker on this board is designed to allow both down-the-line speed and the ability to turn.

We also have stayed with the Twinzer fin pod, James likes to do surface rotational tricks, as such he wanted his board to both be able to aerials and do surface rotations - he's found this configuration isn't as limiting as the quads and thrusters.

The pictures of the final production board aren't out yet, but visually it will be a departure from the design that James developed about 8 years ago.

Make no mistake though, unless you are in the advanced/excellent category, there isn't any reason for folks to drop the coin this board costs.

              congrates to James...

BTW, the only coin I am going to drop is the gas money to Camp Far West during Ragboy's event this summer. I want to see how James is progressing..
