Doesn't look that cold out, there's not ice covering the lake like we have here. Just kidding, congrats on getting out in March! That's awesome!

The water was probably 58 degrees IMO. Surfdad is located south of Sacramento, CA near Stockton, CA

What was the air temp? 58 for the water temp is where we start our season without any suits but the air temp is usually 80's for that.

                Mid to low 60's.

58 might even be a little high also on water temp but not entirely sure where Surfdad is boating.

That's pretty cold then, I wouldn't surf that in a wetsuit, I would in a drysuit though!

                    Hey guys,

That's on New Hogan up in Valley Springs. I think it's fed by the Calaveras. We were out on Frank's boat, so I didn't get a chance to see the water temp, but it's in the 50's somewhere. The air temp was good yesterday, the sun was out all day. There is something about being able to get warm out of the water that makes riding easier. Yesterday, I couldn't leave my hands in the water for more than about 5 minutes before they started to hurt - so yeah - major shrinkage!

That board under Dennis and Frank is a TWP Bazooka, I don't know if it's being advertised yet. It's 5'3" - if you can imagine this, Frank is #325 and is riding a 5'3"! That board has a unique rocker and concave that gives it a ton of down-the-line speed for the big guys.

I see the 2010 bazooka on the site as a 5.1.

                            Thanks Surfdad.

OK - I found the Bazooka in the store on the web site. It is listed as 5.1 but can upgrade it as an option to 5.3 [add $10.00].

Man, I wish we had a shop around this part of the world where we could demo one of these before dropping that much coin on a board. Sigh.

Wait a damn minute i have had to de-ice my windshield dozens of times this year, we have had some BS weather for sure this year. I live in Fl so I dont have to deal with crap like that and yet it just refuses to warm up.
But it looks like you having fun so its all good. we could use a warm up the water temp is in high 50s low 60s....... I need 70....bad and in a hurry! 40deg 2nite WTF at this rate i will never get on the water.
