    Sweet Spot

What's up everyone. Like most of you I am sitting inside dreaming of riding behind the boat again. However, it is minus 5 degrees out side today!

Anyways, I currently ride the Inland Surfer Blue Lake (2 Fin) and I have some extra cash from Christmas and was thinking of getting a new board.
    I have a few questions -
    1. How is the sweet spot?
    2. Are there going to be any changes in 2010 to the board or should I buy a 2009 at a discount?
    3. How is the Black Pearl?

I am 6'2" and weigh in at 190. I ride behind a 08 RZ2 with about 1,000 lbs of ballast and another 750 - 1,200 lbs of people everytime I ride. So I have a good size wave.

I am also looking for a surf board rack for the tower. I have the Z tower any suggestions.

Everyone let me know your thoughts.

      racks

Have you checked Monster Towers's racks,I can't remember if they offer 3" or not, which might be that tower? For your tower I really like what Ragboy has that mount on the top bar,I forgot the name,Endless surfing maybe.I'm using Samson this year for spinner racks on the Alpha Z tower.I haven't checked what they offer for regular towers.
Also, Inland has a new price pont board called the squirt, I can send you a video if they don't have it listed.I just got a video yesterday that shows a stocky guy surfing for the first time in years.

I am also in the same position as you we started with a blue lake and the sweet spot seems like the next transition for a surf style board, and we are also going to get a black pearl. I think the sweet spot was new for 09 so I can't see any changes this soon.

As far as the rack I went with a Bulletlines single that I may be selling soon to make way for a double (not sure if the holes are the same and the bulletlines owner was not much help). I got the idea from another Tigeowners member and it worked great and bolted to the existing swivel plate. I bought it off of onlyinboards.com as they had free shipping.

          sweet spot

Inland is offering a woody version of the sweet spot available in March, New MSRP after Jan. 1 price increase on sweet spot $600.00
Inlands products look nice, I have bought several but my customers seem to like the Walker Project and Shredstixx for about the same money.
Unfortunately, it is hard to stock all the brands, the wakesurf companies are smaller and don't offer dating programs like the larger wakeboard companies do.
I will stock the new Squirt as my price point instead of a LF board for the same money.

Those surf racks look nice for the money on Majestic's boat.

We've ridden a lot of skim style boards in the past... my favorite by a long shot is the Crowley "Hey-O". Super fast, holds a line but spins like a top.

Thanks for all the great info on boards and racks. I think I will just have to buy both the Sweet Spot for a surf style and a Black Pearl for the times I want to ride a skim.

Majestic let me know if the surf-surf rack works on your factory mount. That is probably what I will do if it fits.

I would almost bet the holes are the same to keep the manufacturing cost down. It will be some time before I will be switching to the double.

I did find a black pearl here yesterday: but I am looking for a tri-fin which I believe is the Black Pearl "yellow".

My buddy has the Sweet spot and it is pretty sick. Its a fast board, I can be way back in the pocket and ride to the front pretty easily. Doesn't spin as easily as my green loogey though.

Should I be worried about the tri fin Black Pearl and the fact that I am 190/200 lbs?

I was 195/200 last summer and I could ride it but you do need to be careful about too much weight towards the front
