    board advice

Decided the wife and I will get seperate boards. Also decided I would continue the post in the proper forum.A bit more info-I am 6'230lbs wife is 5'3" 115lbs.We have a 20v. I can go ropeless for a short time and my wife is just learning to stay in the sweet spot. We are both currently riding the broadcast 5'6". We will be doing some cruising and cutting.I read the advice from the other post and appreciated the info which helped us decide on 2 different boards. Is the phase 5 oogle a good board 4 me. Thanks again for some advice. Special thanks to ragboy and your wealth of knowledge and good videos.

How aggressive do you want to be, and do you like surf style riding or skim style riding more?

I can get somewhat aggressive and my wife a little less aggressive. Just looking for a good board that is easy to cruise on and able to carve and play in the wake. Hope this helps.Have been looking at some used boards that get posted and one is the phase 5 oogle. Thanks again

CompX boards are a good intermediate board, $399 new, don't have used. I think TWP has a 4.5 in stock, which would work well for your wife, and up to about 170 lbs or so. The comp x is a hybrid board and durable, twin fin, alot of fun. We have used one on our boat for a while to test it.

Used I have a green loogey, that would also work for your wife, similar design as the comp x, it would be $150. Its in good shape but has some heel dents. Those are wear and tear from RJ getting air over and over.

I also have a wombat used, that I don't think would work for you, and its more expensive with its special adjustable fins and stuff.

They make a compx 5.0, which would float you fine, but if you got one for your wife, it would almost be good to have a different type of board like a bullet or something a bit more agressive.

I do have another board, that is used and only $150, its a one off board that Mike Armstrong made for himself at a contest and we have it now. Its a nice board, and would float you, since I think mike was about 6'2 and 250lbs.

Any of these boards I mention except the bullet you could use for a couple of weeks, and if you didn't like them you would ship back in same condition at your expense. I would refund sale price, minus shipping. I try to do that cuz I know how hard it is to buy sight unseen. If you lived ANYWHERE near me, I would love to give you a demo.

Take him up on that offer for the green loogey, you will love that board. The inland surfer sweet spot is a great board as well.
