    Lake Lanier Wake Surfing

Any wakesurfers on Lake Lanier GA? we are having tough time figuring it out with starts etc. and would like to get some pointers by folks with prior experience. Happy to entertain too. We have 07 22Ve w factory ballast. We have 08 Hyperlite Broadcast 5"11" and rider is skilled skier and kneeboarding. Any help appreciated. PM or cell is 404 906-9647

    Thx Jim

We have 2009 22Ve. We run the rear factory ballast and one 750 lb. fat sac on the rider side, TAPS @ 4 and speed at ~11.2. This throws a pretty nice wake even without people in the boat. Your mileage may vary.

    Good Luck!

I'm on Lanier, but just getting into wake surfing myself. All I've heard is your front foot is the gas and your back foot is the brake. I'm having trouble getting a good wake without any fat sacs or ballast. I've got a 2004 22V LTD. Need alot of people to get it going. Best of luck!

        Jim and Blake,

I live part of the time at Lake Lanier and part of the time in Abilene. I would love to meet up with you guys and help you do a little wakesurfing. Myself as well as the crew at Gainesville Marina go out on the north end of the lake many evenings. As you can imagine, I travel a lot but shoot me an email with your contact information and we will try to all meet up while it is still warm. We can take out my 2010 RZ2 that I will be getting next week and you can check out all the new features.

        Email: mark @tige.com

        Thanks,

        Mark

                Mark:

Wonderful to hear from you and would love to meet up. We live in Alpharetta but have lake place w dock for boating weekends. Cabin is on Taylor Creek from Chestatee river in northeast quadrant of the lake. About 20-25 mins to Gainesville Marina and we hit Skogies all the time. Will PM cell and email info. Chpthril is visiting 8/22 so we'd love to snag a ride in the RZ2. Sounds hot - just saw some info at homepage. Pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/bucks20/

I will be heading out of town this Sunday to go down to Expo where we will be debuting my boat at an industry show. After the debut, I will definitely get some pictures for you. I will give you guys a shout or email you when I get back in town so we can surf it up.

As far as sharing some new features, you will have to wait just a little longer. I promise that you guys are going to be blown away.

                        Hey Jim,
I would be more than happy to help you out as well. We ride out of Gainesville marina (surfed with Mark before...hey Mark!). I have a couple boards and I know Gainesville marina would help you out as well. I am up with family every weekend and it wouldn't take long.
