Just curious, have any of you started off the swim platfrom without a rope? I give my self once shot at it to start every session and havent figured it out yet, but getting close.

Starting off the platform without the rope? Haven't tried that! I've been stuck on the platform and removed myself without the rope before, but haven't tried to start off of it.

I've started off the platform with the rope, but we only do that in secluded areas in the winter when we don't want to get too wet. I think that doing that too much will lead to some sort of legislation against the sport, so we are careful about where we do it.

Well, then we really need to stop having fun doing it...seems like they always try to legislate away your pursuit of happiness.
