Awesome pics. As a relatively new wakeboarder, it blows my mind that you can get that much air. I think I do flatten my board out when I hit the wake, is it really the holding and staying on edge that is the "magic"?????????

Standing tall at the tip and holding the edge work hand in hand...

Yes its pretty simple once you figure it out.

                          1. Start a slow cut and build a progressive edge towards the wake
                          2. Load the line by sitting and leaning against the rope.
                          3. Keep handle in close to hip and elbows close to your sides.
                          4. Stand tall at the top of the wake but do not flatten out before you hit the wake.

A good wake jump is really just releasing all the energy you built up by loading the line and progressively building your edge.

Oh and a big wake helps too.

Thanks Matt and db. I think I need to get out and ride with some of you guys that have it down. Trying to get it on my own has proven challenging and sometimes painful

I understand the theory, but haven't been able to really nail it. Seems like you guys pop practically straight up in the air.

Ya I know its easier said then done. Sort of like when people tell me how to do 3's just pop, pull and pass. For some reason I still cant get it!

Like with anything else its just practice.
