Well, I live about 35 miles southwest of Greenville, where the HUGE fire is located. And all day, even in my house, it felt like I was in a Laughlin or Indian casino. Smoke everywhere. So I thought, might as well go down the hill a bit and go to the lake. Well, the good news, NO ONE was there. I saw 2 other boats, and 1 fisherman. Although one of the other boats was the Hoffmans.
Anyway, the smoke was JUST as bad down there at Lake Oroville and it was strange. We got out of the wind, and found some butter, and had a great time practicing for INT this weekend. We forgot our camera, so I took a few pics with my iPhone. It felt like we were wakeboarding at the end of the world or some nuclear winter.
You can't quite tell by the picture here, but the sun was a burnt red, like a dying star, or like on the planet Tatooine or something.
