    Another new wakeboarder

This thread is more or less a mirror of another thread but, we got my buddies wife up on a wakeboard for the first time this last weekend. Before moving to the area last year she had never even so much as ridden a skate board. Got her up and riding no problem yesterday. Chalk up another new rider.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I got my gf up last Sat. I was driving, and didn't have the patience for teaching. So a friend of mine did all the coaching. .. It took her about 4 tries. Didn't stay up long, but she was definitely up, and then tried to cross the wake. ... NOPE!

      That's so great!

It was my wife that introduced me to wakeboarding. Once we got married, she said I could no longer be a "two-planker wanker"

I just got my 5 and 7 year old their first wakeboard. They can't wait to try! Now all we need is some good weather.

When girls are around 110 lbs, they get up NO PROBLEM with just a touch of gas. I dont know what the deal is, because guys that are 150 have tons of problems doing it. Anway, we have probably tought around 30 people on our boat last summer, its always great to see someone new get up!

People that know how to waterski are the hardest because they want to push against the board.

Congrats! Too bad we couldn't do this for a living

I got them a Liquid Force Nemesis 124 with the micro bindings. The bindings fit their feet great with some room to grow.

That's funny. B/c when my wife was teaching me, that's what she said, don't push against the board. I took that a little too literally and almost drowned for half a day. Then my buddy says at lunch...."well you have to try to stand up!"

I was letting the boat pull me into a ball, and never standing up! After that, popped right up, no troubles since

That's what we tell people, let the board push you into a ball and when it's floating, then slowly try to stand up, always keeping the rope at hip level. If you raise too high, you risk a face plant and if you pull the rope towards you, you will fall over backwards.

I picked up the little tip on the start and the one about the rope on your forward hip from Erik Ruck...I figured he was a reliable source

                      Yeah, I suppose he is!

I've gotten a few tips from Shaun Murray, I think he knows what he's doing too.
