draginass, once you have the ollie 180 down well on both sides, try it blind. Blind ollies are really fun, and look cool.

I've got them down pretty well now, but it took me almost two summers to get the switch one down.

I landed a Switch Ollie 360 last year at the end of the season by accident. Got a HUGE ollie, went for the 180 and rotated far enough around that I just went for the 360. Landed it really, really ugly, but landed it.

So to do them blind, there would be a handle pass right? Behind the back? Or I guess you'd have to Rodeo the handle above your head? I'll try that this year, just can't quite get my mind around how it is "supposed" to work.

      BTW, I love surface tricks!

Blind= you face away from the boat. Hold the handle behind your back with your rear hand.

You don't necessarily have to pass, although it is an option. For me, the easiest way to learn a blind pop 180 was to take a nice cut out on my heelside, all the way to the outside of the wake, then let up on the cut long enough to get a tad bit of slack. Once you have a bit of slack, get a nice poppy ollie, turn your head and shoulders away from the boat (would be to the right, if you are regular), drop your right hand and tuck the rope (in your left hand) as tightly as you can to the small of your back. I like to thing of the arm motion like those police movies, where they cuff the guy, they wrench his arm behind his back, and slap on the cuffs! If you do this correctly, you should end up with your chest facing towards the opposite shore, and the rope in your left hand, tight to your back, all without any sort of a pass. To illustrate, here is a shot of me completing an ollie 180 over a foam container on my spring break trip...

I managed to hit a double up but kind did a half flip type thingy. Pretty cool to hit it though.

hmmm, no pain on the tantrum? I guess my MCL tearing last year wasn't that big of a deal.

Backrolls are softer landings in my book.

Depends on what you can do before
-if you can backflip on the trampoline then
all you have to do is time it right off the lip,
you also have to be commited
                    too many people
give it 50% and they are the ones
who only go half way and eat it hard
                    on the way down

Do not do it. The fall will hurt.

Updates: Landed my first grabbed 360 today at Dave Brisco's Clinic. Slob to 360. I am stoked. Also got REALLY close on my roll, and on a backside blind 180...
