new board help

Hey,

could I get some help on the type of board I should buy ?

New to wake board but want to get one I can grow into if I can.


How would this board work out for me : HYPERLITE WAKEBOARD MOTIVE 144CM W/ SPIN BOOT 2005


I am 200lbs 5'9" no its not fat lol

Hi Rollo,
I would suggest you wait and demo some boards before you buy something you may hate later. I'm a Liquid Force dealer so I can't help you on how the Hyper boards perform. Most of the companies have a website that will give you specs and how they perform. If looking at Liquid I would suggest a Team 139 or 143 for you, everyone seems to enjoy it.

Our dealer suggested the same thing. Wait until spring and demo several boards. That way we can see exactly what we like.

Maybe you can get in some wakeboarding clinics, I have several each summer, that way you get coaching and get to try new and different boards too. I always get Cathy Williams to do a couple of clinics and our local rider Matt Sims helps me with clinics, he just landed the 1080 on video.
