    another hard learned lesson

Do not ski around no wake buoys. Besides the fact that the fish commission wouold probably frown on it, when you smack your elbow on them it hurts for days!!!!!!!

I'm 40 years old. When am I ever going to learn.

At least you didn't try to do a backflip under a bridge...
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

                      why

They are not by docks or anything. I wouldn't do that. I'm guessing because it is by a state park and they have kayakers and fishermen in along shore generally. The boat was well enough out that I had to make a course type turn to get around it so I am pretty sure we were not causing any problems other than for me.

At the lake I live on, about 1/5 of the lake is a no wake area and marked as such. We tend to hug that end because it is on the north end of the lake and protected from the wind.

                      I appreciate your concern.

                      They were the taller markers.
