Fortes is just north of Bryan Dairy on the east side of 66th st. That is where I bought my boat this summer. Like I said, let one of us know if you come back for a visit and you are more than welcome to get a tow.

I have a 97 pre 2000 wt and bought in late October, I also live in Wisconsin and only skied behind it once before the lake froze. I'll have to say with the taps system the wake seemed awesome.

Its not to bad. I do ski through a course 4 to 5 time a week and i like it. Its very flat on the outside not a very good rooster tail at 22 off, but alot of boats are bad at 22 off. All the guys i ski with really like how it handles through the course, i just wish the rooster was softer

I ski behind my '00 22i through the coarse. 15' off @ 36 is about as good as my tank gets. Still a sizeable bump and rooster, but nothin' a real man can't handle. To be honest, I've never been down to 22' off.

My stick is a 69" HO Vengeance w/ Approach plates.

Two Saturdays ago, coming back across the wakes from 3, I felt my back just go. It's "gone" before, so I didn't think to much of and just kind of cruised the rest of my pass and set up for another. Rounding 1, I knew I was in trouble and just hung on untill I was out of the coarse. When I went to pull my ski off, I realized just how bad my back had gone out. I was barely able to get back in the boat. I managed to drive for everyone for the rest of the day, but it wasn't fun. That night found me on the couch full of beer, pain killers and muscle relaxers (thank god for previous injuries). The following Monday at the chiropractors found 15 verts. out and 5 ribs askew. I've just started feeling like a normal person in the last 2 days. It's nice to be able to turn your head.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I know the feeling about body injuries. I was going long line barefoot which i have a 97 2000 pre outstanding barefoot boat. i caught a ripple in the water fell forward knocked myself out i could not even tell you what lake i was on. My back has never been the same since it sucks. Now i only go off the boom with the 5 foot line still fun

Glad to see another 97 pre 2000 owner out there. Your right on the money about being a great barefoot boat, I have a couple of buddies that love to foot behind my boat!!

I live 15 min west of charlotte and used to pass it twice a day when I taught at NTI in Mooresville (exit 36). Always wanted to get on that lake but never could find a landing. Someone told me about one, but when I got there, all i found was a 2 lane country road that ended up in the lake

Ya that road go's to where we put the boats in. It is a bad set up but a cool lake. Do you still ski or work at NTI if so lets hit the course. They are trying to shut it down because of all the new house's going up wright now, but the more people that back it they will not mess with it what style of Tige do you own?

I've only skied once this season behind my wife's new boat never skied a course before, i'd like to give a whirl

FIC, The next time we get down to Fla I will let you know and we can hook up.

chpthril & DevinH, we still have a course setup on Belews above Winston Salem. That maybe a bit far but I would mind seeing you guys run the coarse. I haven't skied at all this year because of my back. I am still trying to get it right. I was doing something stupid that put me out. I am hoping to get back out next year. I think my coarse days are over. I don't need to go through this again. I will probably put my boat up in couple of weeks. I haven't been able to use it in the past 2 months.

I want to get out and ride w/ this boat over the next 2 wkends. This wkend is supposed to be ok. Somewhere in the 60's. The water temp should still be 70's and up. I will put it up in Nov. I am skipping the race this wkend just in case I get a chance to take the boat out. Do you live out by Raleigh or Charlotte?
