Slalom wake on Z3 with VX

What is the best way to reduce the wake on Z3 at slalom speeds.
The Z3 boat has a larger wake than my 24ve.
We normally ski 30 to 32 mph, we set taps at 1, also tried taps at 2 and 3 and no luck.
We tried tried 50% ballast in the front, still big.
Any suggestions.

I ski 32-34 behind my z3 and put approx 20% in front bags, taps at 3 and anywhere from 1-4 ppl in the boat with no issues. It isn't a DD by no means but not bad. Only thing I notice is there tends to be a spray pocket that will hit me in the face if I go more than 22-27 off.
