    Water: 53 degrees

Well, I just had to do it. Been dyin' to ski and saw that the forecast said 75 degrees for today. So, we head for the lake and the water was a toasty 53 dgrees. Put on the chill skin, wet suit, and the O'brien and jumped in. Man was I glad that we ordered our Tige with a heater!

And I thought our water report was cold.
The surface water temperature at the Rockland fishing pier is around 68 degrees, and at five feet the water temperature is holding around 68 degrees.

The worst part of cold water is getting the stones wet, once you get past the inital shock your good to go!!!

The latest I've ski was early November, the water was so cold we were gasping for breath. So we started ot where we could stand and had the boat go out and as soon as the rope was tight, hold your breath and let it happen.

We skied last weekend on Tahoe. Water temp was 48. Used the dry suit, and extensive use of the heater. On Tahoe if you wait for warm temps you may never ski.

dweider- Thanks for Tahoe temp update. It's pretty rare that I get my "stones" in before mid July up there. 43!? Yikes. That hurts just thinking about it.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
