      Well that sucks.

We thought you knew everything about skiing in the whole middle part of the country, zad.

No Slalom course. There's a small cove they call ski cove. It's fairly narrow and protected from the wind by the two islands that create it, but no slalom course. It would get carried away in two seconds during the spring floods.

You could always use the navigation buoys as a slalom course, though to make it a challenge you may have to ski at 60 mph or better.

          Thanks for fedback?

Is Ski Cove closer to Alton? We usually ride in the ski chute just above Portage des Sioux. Awesome sheltered area, except with the rare direct east/west wind.

The "ski cove" is on the Dardene slough between Woodlands and Lake Center marinas

There's a great place downriver from grafton where the Alton Ski club meets. It's a great place. Very likely what you're describing. I never heard of it being called that, but if it's the same place, it's way better than the cove I'm talking about.

The only reason we use the "cove" instead of the "chute" is because it's only 1 or two minutes from Lake Center.

The chute is a good 20 minute ride down.
