Any other hydrofoilers out there? Post some pics

For those of you who have never tried one, I think the hydrofoil is almost the best fun you can have on water!
After blowing out my knee on a wakeboard, I switched to a hydrofoil and never went back. Here are a couple pics from Labor Day weekend...

That is the Snake River...8 degrees warmer than the Columbia and less boats!

You should wear a helmet when doing that. Look up Lovin' Powell's injury on the Favorite places to boat thread. It is about 4 pages in.

Those are beautiful pics and nice water.

I always wear a helmet when trying new tricks.

I couldn't tell that what you were doing was the 'same old tricks'.

                      Looks awesome to me.

I have considered pulling the trigger on a foil, but for over a thousand bucks, I know I will catch grief with the wife, and especially for something I have never done yet. I wonder if they ever come up cheap on Ebay or something.

BTW, I vote for your profile pic as the most hilarious one on this board, with Koolaid man number 2.

I have had some nasty crashes when learning new stuff... and my 50 year old body doesnt heal like it used to...
You can get a good starter foil in the $800 range on ebay. I am on my 4th foil, having upgraded every time, and the foils I sold have always sold for close to what my purchase price was. Used ones hold value!

Wife says no more new toys as we just got the surfboard, fat sacs and pumps. Maybe when I can surf without the rope we can move on to some more toys
                          Let it be!!!
