    fumes from fuel fill hose

    Hello!

I have a technical question regarding our Switch V. With the boat parked in the garage, I noticed a definite odor of gasoline fumes eminating from the fuel fill hose. It's not leaking, but if I smell the hose itself, I can smell gasoline. I was a bit concerned because the hose runs through the battery compartment, where I could also notice the odor. Is there an acceptable level of fume "leakage" from the fuel fill hose? Thanks!

is the odor strong enough to get into you gear stored in the compartment? fuel smell will seep through rubber but if it is to the point of damaging equiptment i'd have it looked at. also, if there is a small leak that you can't see they can pressure test the system and look for a leak. we don't want any accidents, call you dealer today!

      fumes from fuel fill

Thanks for the reply. I'll check the gear to see if it's effected by the fumes. I'll call our dealer, too.

The dealer found a hose clamp that was a little loose. Other than that, nothing major.
