    Stearing Wheel

I am a new Tige owner and just took my boat out for the first time this weekend. I noticed that when driving straight, the steering wheel was nearly 90 degrees off. Is this normal, I'm sure its warranty but is there an easy fix? Any help would be appreciated.

    Two things you can do.

Take off the hex nuts and turn the wheel and try to match it up.

Or Take off the steering rack for the cable off. This is under the helm. Make sure the rudder is pointing straight when you do this. adjust the steering wheel and then reattach the rack.

The second option is what I did after having my steering cable replaced by dealer. The real fun part was they put the rack in backwards on accident so my first time out right was left and left was right. That was fun, but an easy fix.

OH BOY HERE WE GO WITH THIS STORY AGAIN! Im never going to live this one down. oh well it was my mistake. But to answer the orginal question start with wheel in wrong postion undo the for 7/16 bolts (dont take them out all the way just enough to disengage the teeth from rack)that hold the rack to the helm turn wheel to straight ahead tighten bolts and retry.may take a couple of shots but you will get it.
