Any suggestions for the best place to get the best price for a steering cable for a 2001 v2300? I was out last weekend and it's time to do the replacement...Is there a site to figure out the part number that I need, or does someone know it off the top of their head?

You need to find out if you have the Rotary system or rack and pinion. My 21i need a 18' cable and If i had to guess yours would need a 20' cable.Common Sense is not so Common

I couldn't find my receipts from when I did mine, so I'm not sure where I bought it. The part number should be stamped right on the cable. Best place to look is up under the dash. We have the same boat. I routed the new cable on top of the fuel tank, which was a lot easier, works great, and I think it will last a lot longer.

there should be a part # about 2' from helm conection. Think the one i replaced was about 200+$ ,but also gave you a new rotary steering system.Comment

I went up there today to get the part number...I was under a cover with only my cell phone as a light - but the part number I recorded was
