    Beeps and Oil Oh My!

We heard (faintly) two beeps, pause, two beeps, pause... and the oil gauge was near 80. After running for a bit - mebbe 10 minutes, the oil gauge was back just above 40 and the beeping stopped... and the boat ran flawlessly.

Any ideas what this is indicative of?

Maybe your oil level was too high? Did you add any recently?

No I haven't touched it actually. The only thing that I have done is checked the level (dipstick) and last time I checked it, the color looked good too.

The beeps from the engine warning system may not have been because of low oil pressure. It could have been triggered by low fuel pressure, high water temp, low raw water pump pressure, low voltage or whatever else they're monitoring in 2004. They keep adding things to monitor. You would have to look up the list for your engine to find out what all there is to check.
