    Fuel filter

Hey guys, hoping someone can tell me which fuel filter I have, and where to find a replacement element at a good price. My manual states there were 2 different filters used on the '07 MP 340s, just want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks!

      That's the filter/cooler/pump housing.

Thanks to KKO, I know know exactly how it comes apart; Remove the cooler hose from the bottom. The bottom 1/3rd of the housing will now spin off the top portion. You will need a pile of rags or a some sort of catch container as gas will spill when the seal is broken. Once open, you will see the paper element.

I don't know what the aftermarket cross-ref part # is tho.

Do you think you may have some water in there?

I checked on this also, as I plan to change my filter soon. I called my dealer to asked for advice, and the service tech wasn't aware of anyone who offered the same filter aftermarket. So I just had them send me one, the price was $25.95 + a little shipping, even if the price is high, its worth not having to run and call all over town to only end up finding out they don't have it anyway. Feels good to know that I have the right one, especially after you have all of the fuel mess from removing the cannister.
